Research shows that when parents talk to kids about their own values, teens listen. Don't give up. Knowing the risks, and what you think makes teens think twice. Teens are ready to hear about risks. They love to hear stories about what can happen. Talk about friends you saw making unwise choices. "True stories" are told and re-told among teen groups.
